I found this little Dutch girl in a bag with it stitched.
First it is sketched out on the back of a calendar. April 1959. Then copied onto a white piece of paper, then onto the fabric. I wonder what it was going to be? A quilt block? A pillow? I will put it in a frame. Nothing went to waste. I love that.
I found this wooden stocking at the local thrift shop, it wasn't bad, but wanted to re-do him and glitter him up a little.
I painted it a dark blue and then painted my snowman.
Added glitter and let him dry over night. He is ready for the season!
I love how Fons & Porter displayed my design in this months issue of "Love of Quilting". I am designing new ideas to send off, who knows where these buttons will go next!
